Archy Onboarding: Sensor Set Up

Now that you’ve begun the onboarding process with Archy, it’s time to get your sensors set up in Archy. 

Step 1: Schedule Sensor Set Up

Please note, an IT person must be present during your sensor setup call with Archy. In the meeting, we will walk you through sensor testing on one computer, and then your IT person must complete the testing on the rest of your computers.  Please also confirm Archy System Requirements here.

Step 2: Preparation Before Sensor Set Up

Prior to your sensor setup meeting, have your IT company complete the following steps on every computer that is used for x-ray capture or that is used to upload paper documents via a scanner. 

1. Install Anydesk: This tool enables us to access your computer remotely, with your approval, should you have any problems during the setup process.
   
   
2. Install the Twain drivers for your sensors and your scanners. Twain drivers facilitate image transfers directly from scanners or cameras into applications like Archy. If you already have them installed, you can skip this step. After installation, you can use Twacker to verify successful hardware connectivity. Please note: for scanners, we recommend WIA drivers.
   1. 1. If you utilize Schick sensors, you will also need to download and install Schick’s IntraoralSensorSoftware.iso on relevant computers.
         
         
3. Download and install Archy Imaging Service

Once these steps are complete, you are ready for your sensor setup meeting with Archy.

Step 3: During Sensor Set Up

During the setup meeting please ensure the following: 

• Your IT technician must be present. 
• A staff member who knows how to operate the sensor must be available for testing.
• At least one machine with a sensor must be available for testing, without any patients in the room  

We’ll guide you through the sensor testing process once all required programs listed above have been installed and your sensor is successfully connected. Subsequently, your IT technician will need to replicate the testing steps on all other computers that require sensor or scanning device access. 

To complete your sensor setup, you must confirm that you have tested the sensors on each computer where you plan to use them before your go-live date.
