Clinical Notes: Additional Settings & Attaching Procedures

Within your Clinical Note templates, you have the option to add more specific settings, such as specifying a provider for each template. This is particularly useful when different providers use different note templates. You can also add procedures, which allow you to specify a particular note template for specific procedures. Furthermore, you can add categories to your note templates, which allows you to specify specific appointment categories for that template.

In this article, you'll learn how to add additional settings to your Clinical Note templates, making them more efficient and tailored to your needs.

Start by navigating to Settings.

Proceed to Clinical.

Click on Note Templates.

Find the template you want to modify. Click the three dots next to it.

Select Edit from the menu.

Look for a gear icon in the upper right corner. Click on it to access the settings.

The first option you'll see is to select which providers use this form. If you leave this blank, the form will be available to all providers.

Next, you'll see Procedures. Here, you can specify which procedures require this form.

For instance, if you're editing the Sealants template, you can search for sealants by code number, name, or short name, and select the procedure.

Lastly, you'll find Categories. Here, you can select which categories require this form. The available categories are based on those you've set up for your practice in your settings.

After adding all the additional settings, click Save.

Don't forget to publish the changes.

Once you've published the changes, you'll see the procedures, categories, and providers you've added next to your form.
