Sending Text Messages To A Patient With An Assigned Contact Person

In this article, you'll learn how to send a text message to a patient's assigned contact using the two different methods available.

• To send a message via the messaging center, follow steps 1 - 5

• To send a message via the patient snapshot, follow steps 6- 8

Step 1: Navigate to your messaging center located in the left-hand toolbar.

Step 2: Type in your patient's name in the search bar.

Step 3: Select the patient's name from the search results. This action will display the assigned contact person for the patient.

Step 4: Notice the indicator at the bottom of the screen. It confirms that you've been redirected to the patient's designated contact person.

Step 5: Start typing your text message in the provided box and click send.

Alternatively, you can send a text message from the patient's snapshot.

Step 6: Open the patient's account. In their patient snapshot, you'll see the text button at the top of the page.

Step 7: Click on the text button. This will automatically redirect you to the patient's designated contact person.

Step 8: Begin typing your message to the patient and click send.

Note: If you remove the contact person from the patient's overview, the messages will be sent directly to the patient. However, the previous messages sent while the contact person was assigned will still appear in the contact person's messaging center.
