Recall Reminder Automations

In this article, you'll learn how to create and manage recall reminder automations, a feature designed to prompt patients to schedule their recall appointments.

Navigate to the Recall Reminders section.

Here, Archy provides preset messages for your convenience.

Ensure these messages are active when you're ready to use them.

To add your own recall reminder automation, click the + New Message button.

Create new messages by first selecting your preferred event. The event types include Perio Due or Prophy Due. The event type you choose will determine the recall procedure Archy will look for.

Next, select your timing.

Choose the period. Decide whether you want the reminder to be sent a certain number of days or weeks before or after the due date. This depends on whether the reminder is for patients who are not yet due or for those who have already missed their due date.

For this example, let's say we want to send the reminder one week before the due date.

Choose a time for the reminder to be sent. For instance, we'll set it to go out at 5 pm.

Choose your channel. Decide whether you want the reminder to be sent via the patient's preferred contact method, which could be text, email, or choose to send it via text only, email only, or both.

After selecting your channel, choose the SMS category.

Start typing your message. Use the forward slash key to pull up the list of variables available for your message.

If you're sending an email, select the Email category.

You can copy the SMS content by clicking Copy SMS Content in the upper right.

Don't forget to enter your subject line.

Use the Send test email option to send a test email to yourself.

Once you're satisfied with the message, click Save.

Make sure to mark it as active when you're ready to send it out.

If you need to edit any of the existing messages, select the three dots, choose Edit.

Make the necessary changes and click Save.

Congratulations! You've successfully created your first recall reminder automation.
