Using Funds in the Wallet Towards Treatment

In this article, you'll learn how to use funds from a patient's wallet to pay off their balance.

Step 1: Navigate to the patient's billing.

Step 2: Check the amount the patient owes.

Step 3: Verify the amount available in the patient's wallet.

Step 4: Click on the Collect button to use the wallet funds.

Step 5: Click on Create Invoice.

Step 6: Confirm the creation of the invoice if it's not already done.

Step 7: The payment method will default to the patient's wallet if the wallet funds are sufficient to cover the balance.

Step 8: Choose whether the patient is making a full or partial payment, add any internal notes, and click on Record Payment.

If the patient's balance is higher than the funds in the wallet:

Step 9: Check the patient's balance.

Step 10: Verify the amount in the wallet.

Step 11: Click on Collect.

Step 12: Click on Create Invoice.

Step 13: Confirm the creation of the invoice if it's not already done.

Step 14: Notice that the payment method doesn't default to the patient's wallet because the wallet funds aren't enough to cover the balance.

Step 15: Use the dropdown menu to select the patient's wallet as the payment method.

Step 16: Choose Partial Payment and enter the amount you want to use from the wallet.

Step 17: Click on Record Payment.

Step 18: Go back to the top of the page and click on Collect.

Step 19: Finish paying the rest of the money by selecting a different payment method.

Step 20: Click on Record Payment.
