Archy offers customizable alerts to highlight important information. The alerts can pop up when clicking on appointments or patient profiles, keeping you informed about allergies, premedication needs, or other items specific to an individual patient.
This article will walk you through how to add an alert on a patient profile and how to manage how often those alerts show up.
Adding an Alert to a Patient
Open the patient's Notes to view existing notes or add a new note.
Click on the bell icon for the specific note to change the Alert status to on or off.
Viewing an Alert
Once the note has been set as an alert, it will show up in the alerts drawer for the patient when you click on that patient or their appointment. This drawer will either open automatically or when the red bell icon is clicked in the patient snapshot, depending on the alert appearance settings your practice has set. To learn more about alert appearance settings, see the article on "Settings for Alert Appearance and Automatic Patient Alerts."
You can also change the alert status from within the Alerts drawer by clicking the bell icon to remove the alert.
You can also create a new note that is set as an alert from within the Alerts drawer, by click on the + button and creating a new note.
Managing Patient Alerts
If you do not wish to be bothered by the alerts for a specific patient after viewing them for the first time in a given day, you have a couple of options:
- Clicking the X button in the alerts drawer will snooze that patient's alerts for 5 minutes. This means that if you navigate back to the patient within 5 minutes, the alerts drawer will not automatically open.
- Clicking the snooze button will allow you to snooze that patient's alerts for 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours, or 24 hours. This means that if you navigate back to the patient before the selected snooze time is up, the alerts drawer will not automatically open.
- If you do not wish for the alerts drawer to ever open up, you can adjust your alert appearance settings in Settings > Patient > Alerts. See the "Settings for Alert Appearance and Automatic Patient Alerts" article for more information.
