Secondary Insurance Estimates On The Treatment Plan

In this article, you'll learn how to manually add secondary insurance estimates to your treatment plan in Archy.

Identify a patient with dual coverage. This means the patient has both primary and secondary insurance.

Navigate to the patient's charting.

Open the treatment planner.

Here, you'll see the negotiated rate, insurance estimate, and patient estimate.

You can just select the items you want to include in the treatment plan.

Click on print.

You'll notice that the treatment plan includes the UCR, negotiated rate, insurance estimate (which only calculates the primary breakdown), and the patient estimate.

To add the secondary breakdown to the treatment plan, click on the three dots next to each procedure. Remember, adding a secondary insurance is a manual process.

Click on edit estimates.

At the bottom of the page, click on add secondary estimate.

Enter the amount you're estimating the secondary insurance will pay, the patient estimate, and if the deductible applies. Then click Save.

Repeat this process for each line item in the treatment plan.

Once you've added all the secondary insurance estimates to the procedures, select them all.

Click on print again.

Now, your treatment plan will display both primary and secondary insurance estimates.

Congratulations! You've successfully added secondary insurance estimates to your treatment plan.
