It is important to note that any changes made to the initial exam that is displayed upon opening of the Perio Chart, will modify/update for that indicated date.
To create a new Perio Chart Entry for the current day, you will want to select the '+' to Create from Scratch or the 'Clone' to Copy the most recent exam.
Example: If upon opening, and immediately begin entering probing depths, change the date, or provider: this exam would update the 'newly entered' probing depths, the exam date of 8/22/23 indicated in the image below would no longer exist (if the date was changed), as would a different provider displayed, if another was selected.


Clicking on the 'Date' will allow you to back-date an exam to a previous date if needed.
You can change the provider by clicking on the Provider Name or the ' ^ '
Clicking on the '+' will Create a New/Blank Perio Chart
Clicking on the 'Multiple Pages' will clone or create a 'copy' of the current Exam
Clicking on the 'Rewind' will show you previous exam histories
Here you can see a list of previous Exam entries
You can click on the side arrow to open & view a previous exam
To delete unwanted exam entries you can check the boxes & click the 'trash can'
A display message will ask you to confirm the deletion of the selected exams.
You can also select up to 3 previous exams to compare histories between
You can choose to compare by 'Probing Depth' or 'Gingival Margin'
Below the comparison table you can see a Sites Analysis
You can click on the 'printer' to print this page
You can choose to print the comparison, site analysis, or both.
The 'info' icon will display a list of keyboard shortcuts that can be utilized for quick charting
You can choose to print the exam view of the Perio Chart
Again, you can choose which components of the exam you would like to print.
Clicking on the 'Gear' will Open the Settings for the Perio Chart
Here you can choose to toggle 'On/Off' various Display Options, as well as indicate the number you would like to use to visualize 'concerning' entries.
Note: Display settings are saved on a 'per user' basis; therefore one user may choose to display entries differently from another user. If a perio chart exam contains entries for a marker, that another user has enabled as 'off'; a display warning message will surface at the top of the exam page as seen below.
You can choose if you want to 'Show' or 'Hide' Dentition or Implant Summaries below the Perio Chart Exam
Selecting 'Hide' for the Summaries, would remove these areas seen below.
Lastly, in the 'Settings Wheel', you can set the starting point of your entries and the direction of entry progression.
Located on the far right-hand side of the chart are the 'Hot' Buttons
Toggling 'On' the 'Ging Marg+' will signify 'Gingival Overgrowth' rather than recession
'+10' will be utilized for measurements greater than 9
For example: to chart a probing depth of '10' you would click '+10' followed by '0'
'Skip Tooth' can be utilized to skip all measurements on a tooth
Selecting 'Plaque All', 'Calculus All', 'Bleeding All', and 'Suppuration All' will fill all color-associated boxes on the exam.
