To calibrate your imaging devices so that you can accurately measure distance on an image, follow these steps. You can complete this once for each sensor and it will apply to all computers in your office.
If you have not yet downloaded AIS to your computer, do this as the first step. See our article on how to install AIS here.
Go to the Imaging section of your Settings in Archy, located under Settings > Clinical > Imaging
Here you will see devices that have been added to your office. If you do not see the device you are looking for, you can add a new device with the plus button.
You can add any devices to be saved in your practice list of devices. In order for devices to appear here, you may need to plug in the x-ray sensor or intraoral camera to see it listed.
To configure the Calibration, open the 3-dot menu for the device and select Edit.
In the Size Calibration section, select Start Setup
Capture an image with a reference object. A good reference object is a ribbed perio probe.
Enter the actual length of the distance and click save.
Your sensor is now calibrated.
Repeat these steps with any other imaging devices as desired.
