Completing Your Identity Proofing (IDP) with DoseSpot

This article outlines the next steps after you have added your provider in Archy to enroll for E-prescribing. If you have not completed this step, please click on the link to complete Setting Up E-Prescription with DoseSpot for Providers. 

You have been added to the DoseSpot account for e-prescriptions. However, before you write that first script, you’ll need to complete DoseSpot’s Identity Proofing (IDP) Process. 

 

Click the e-Rx icon on the left-hand toolbar.

 

Check the top left for a Welcome message. Click the exclamation mark next to it to bring up the identity proofing prompt.

In the pop-up, click the link to start identity proofing.

Follow the instructions to complete your identity proofing, using these tips: 

• Credit card details must be a personal credit card, not a business card. Identity proofing is carried out by Experian, and they use your credit information to verify your identity. 

• When doing the facial recognition step, we recommend you use your passport photo, as a driver’s license often has too much glare and could get rejected.
  Side Note: If your driver's license has a barcode on the back, you will need to use a passport. Experian cannot read the barcode on the back in the facial recognition step. The facial recognition will error out the identity proofing process and fail. This happens primarily with "Real IDs." You'll know if yours is a Real ID if you have a gold star on your ID.

• You will have 3 attempts to complete your identity proofing. If you are unsuccessful after 3 attempts, contact support@archy.com for assistance.

 

Read DoseSpot’s explanation for identity proofing. Select the checkbox to confirm that your information will be true and accurate.

Enter your personal details: name, home address, date of birth, and phone number.

For the fastest verification, use your mobile phone and check the box to agree to receive text messages from DoseSpot.

Enter required sensitive information: Social Security Number, credit card number (not a debit card—your card won’t be charged), and driver’s license number. When everything’s set, click Next.

Answer the multiple-choice questions about your credit history. These may ask about mortgage loans, car loans, and other loans. Answer carefully; questions relate to your credit report. Hit Next to continue.

Review your outcome. You may see a pop-up saying a letter is being sent with your reference number (this takes five business days). Or, you may be prompted for a one-time password (OTP), allowing you to continue Two-Factor Authentication (TFA) right away.

Set your PIN if prompted. You may see a button to Change PIN or Set PIN—either way, create a four-digit PIN for sending controlled substance prescriptions.

Click Finish. You’ve completed identity proofing!

 

Next Steps

Now you’re ready to complete Two-Factor Authentication for prescribing controlled substances. If you received a letter, wait for it to arrive. If you used OTP, continue the setup process immediately. You can also message us at support@archy.com to move forward with your TFA.

Common Tips

• Always use your own credit card—not debit—for IDP. Your card will not be charged.

• Double-check information to avoid delays.

• Mobile numbers speed up verification.

By following these steps carefully, you’ll have your DoseSpot account ready and secure for prescribing.

Note: If you plan to write prescriptions for controlled substances, delete prescriptions, or complete refills, you will also need to proceed with Completing Your Two-factor Authentication (TFA) with DoseSpot after the IDP process is complete.
