Filtering The Aging Dashboard: Patient Details

In this article, you'll learn how to filter your aging report patient details list to ensure you send payment requests to the right patients.

The first filter we will look at is for filtering out patients with outstanding claims. An outstanding claim is any claim in draft or sent status.

Select the has outstanding claim filter at the top.

Select 'no', and click Apply.

This will show only patients without outstanding claims.

Next, we will filter patients who have already received a payment request.

These patients can be found in the column labeled payment last requested date.

Use the days since last payment request filter at the top.

Select include, check 'never requested', and hit 'apply'.

This will filter the report to show only those patients who have not had a payment request link sent to them.

Next, let's filter patients based on their balance. If you want to send requests to patients who owe between $1 and $300, go to the patient balance column. Then, click on the three-dot menu.

Then select Filter.

Select the drop-down under Condition.

Choose the condition 'Between' and set it to between $1 and $300. Then click 'Apply'.

The next filter is for patients who are not fully invoiced. This means they have an appointment or a patient account adjustment that hasn't been invoiced yet.

Select the 'Fully Invoiced' filter at the top.

Under the 'Include' tab, select 'Yes', and then click 'Apply'.

This will filter the report to only show patients who do not have an uninvoiced amount.

It is important to remember that each column in the report has the option to filter.

Use these column filters to further refine your list. For instance, if you don't want to send a statement to a specific patient, you can select the three-dot menu on the 'Patient Full Name' column.

Then select Filter.

In the pop-up, choose 'exclude'. Then type the patient name you want to exclude from the report and click enter.

Select the patient's name, and click 'apply' to update the list.

You've now successfully filtered your aging report patient details list and are ready to send payment requests via email or text to your patients.
