Claim Submission Setup for Surgery Center Location

In this video and article, you'll learn how to correctly send your claims with the appropriate facility address if you're a practice that sees patients at a surgery center location.

Start by navigating to the employees tab.

Add a new employee who mirrors the provider who sees patients at the surgery center.

Enter the doctor's first name and last name. For the last name, add a suffix like DDS or LLC for differentiation.

Use a unique work email address to set up this account, which is separate from the original provider.

Fill out all remaining necessary information and click on create.

Go to your email and complete the provider's onboarding. After completing the onboarding, both doctors should now be active.

Navigate to your dental exchange. Go to Settings.

Go to Claims.

Then click DentalXChange Login.

Once logged into DentalXChange, go to Account.

Then, Add or Change providers.

You'll see the provider listed with your office address.

Add a new provider.

Select Person and fill out the necessary information.

Remember to use the suffix (DDS or LLC) in the last name.

Add the address for your surgery center or other location you're billing from.

Once you're done, click on save and continue.

You should now see both doctors listed with their respective addresses.

When scheduling appointments, use the regular provider for patients seen in practice.

For patients seen at the surgery center, schedule them with the new provider you created.
