In this article, you will learn how to include a Preauth Number to a previously completed appointment/procedure.
Double Click on the Appointment you need to edit
Click the 'X' to remove the procedure that needs to have a Pre-Auth Attached to
Click on 'Save' to update/save the appointment
Next, you will want to go back to the patient's chart
Double-click on the procedure that you need to add the pre-authorization to
Change the Pre-Auth Status to 'Approved' and enter the Pre-Auth Number
Click on Save
You will now see your Procedure with the Pre-Auth status as 'Approved'
Next, you will want to add the procedure back to your completed appointment, so you will want to first go to the schedule and double-click to edit the appointment
You will then click to add 'Addtl Procedures'
Select the procedure from the 'Master Treatment Plan' with the insurance status listed as 'Approved', and click 'Add'
You will then see your procedure added back to your 'completed' appointment. Make sure to click 'Save' before moving on.
To confirm the attachment of the Pre-Auth Number, you can now download a copy of your claim to view.
Open the Claims Center for the Patient
Click on 'View'
Click on the 'Download' Icon
View your completed claim with attached Pre-Auth Number.
