Processing a Bulk EOB

This article will guide you through the process of processing a bulk Explanation of Benefits (EOB) in your claims center.

Navigate to your claims center.

Click on Sent to filter your claims.

Filter for the specific insurance company you're interested in.

Click on Apply Filters to view all claims for that insurance carrier.

Select each of the claims that are on that bulk EOB.

Click on Bulk Process EOB in the upper left corner.

Enter the total insurance payment, which you'll find on the Check, EFT, or virtual credit card.

Upload, scan, or drag & drop your EOB.

Confirm that your EOB is attached at the bottom and click Next.

Verify the total insurance payment. If it doesn't match the claims, the difference will be indicated in red.

Open each claim using the drop-down arrow, one at a time.

Enter the insurance payment and the patient responsibility exactly as it reads on the EOB.

After you enter the details from the EOB, be sure you mark that they have been verified and reviewed.

The blue dots indicate the ones you've already reviewed.

Once all the insurance information details from the EOB are entered, confirm that your insurance payment matches the total insurance payment. This will be indicated by the word Match, in green.

Click Next.

Remember, once you post this payment, you won't be able to change which claims are associated with this payment. So, ensure all the claims on that bulk EOB are located on the previous page.

Select your payment method, which could be electronic funds transfer, a check, a virtual credit card processed through Archy, or a virtual credit card processed through a third party.

Enter all the payment details and click Finalize.

If you need to make any edits, click Back to Claims.

Navigate to the EOBs tab.

Locate the EOB you need to update and click the three dots to the right.

Then click View.

In the upper left, click the Edit pencil icon.

Here you can change the payment method, payment date, bank name, check, or EFT number.

Make any necessary changes and click Save.

Congratulations, you've just processed your first bulk EOB!
