In this guide, we'll navigate the essential process of enabling text messaging through Archy. This foundational step is important for enabling various functionalities within the system, such as text-to-pay options, individual patient SMS/MMS messaging, and automated messaging such as appointment reminders.
Important: Do this step as soon as possible during onboarding, because it can take up to two weeks to provision your account for text messaging.
Go to Settings and select Messaging Services from within the Communications section.
Click on "Activate Service" to get started.
You'll be asked to confirm your practice details and owner details such as legal business name, entity type, etc.
Once everything looks correct, hit Next.
The next step is to select a phone number to use for texting.
Enter the area code you would like to use and up to 3 additional digits, and search for an available phone number.
Select the phone number you wish to use and click Save.
Archy will begin provisioning your texting phone number. This may take 3-4 weeks.
Once your number has been provisioned, you are ready to start sending and receiving text messages on your new number via Archy.
