Receipt & Transaction Facts:
- Each transaction prints out a merchant & customer copy
- At this time you cannot reprint receipts from terminal. You will needs to reprint in Archy from the invoice.
- Receipt paper rolls- These can be purchased by your practice. The S1F2 terminal paper is a thermal paper roll with the specific dimensions of 57mm wide, 40mm in diameter, and a 12.7mm core size.
- You will have 150 secs for terminal to timeout during payment processing before you will have to go back and trigger it again.
Paper roll replacement instructions:
- Open the paper compartment. Grasp the top cap of the device (marked with the contactless icon) and pull it up and away from the terminal to access the paper roll holder.
- Insert the paper roll. Place the roll into the compartment so that the paper feeds from the bottom of the roll. For thermal paper, the side that prints must be face-down against the printing mechanism.
- Troubleshooting: If the printer produces blank receipts, the paper is likely inserted backward. Simply flip the direction of the paper roll.
- Pull out some paper. Pull the end of the paper roll forward so that a small amount extends out from the top of the terminal.
- Close the lid. Snap the printer cover shut until you hear an audible "click".
- Tear off excess paper. Use the serrated edge on the terminal to tear off the extra paper.
Instructions to clear a paper jam
- Turn off and unplug the terminal. Always power down and disconnect the power supply from the terminal before attempting to clear a jam. This prevents damage to the machine and ensures your safety.
- Open the printer door. Locate the latch or buttons on the side of the terminal's printer cover. Squeeze or press them to release the cover and lift it open completely.
- Inspect and remove the old paper roll. Pull out any loose, torn paper and remove the main roll from the compartment.
-
Clear the jammed paper.
- Remove visible pieces: Gently pull any large, visible pieces of jammed paper out of the printer mechanism.
- Check for smaller scraps: Use tweezers or your fingers to carefully remove any small or torn bits of paper that may be stuck in the rollers or along the paper path. Be careful not to tear the paper further.
- Use the blue tabs: On some models, you can press blue tabs on either side of the printer to lift the printer mechanism for easier access to the jam.
- Clean the rollers. Use a slightly dampened, lint-free cloth to gently wipe any dust or debris from the paper feed rollers. This helps prevent future jams.
-
Load a new paper roll correctly.
- Unpeel the paper: If the new paper roll has a glued end, unpeel the first turn of paper to prevent adhesive from getting into the printer mechanism.
- Position the paper: Place the new roll into the compartment. The receipt paper should feed from underneath the roll, with the shiny, thermal-sensitive side facing up.
- Extend the paper: Pull out a small amount of paper and extend it over the cutter bar.
- Close the cover firmly. Snap the printer cover shut until it clicks securely into place.
- Test the terminal. Plug the terminal back in and turn it on. The printer may automatically advance the paper, or you may need to run a test print to confirm the jam is cleared.
