In this article, you will learn about the Appointment Edit Entries.
Note: Appointment Edits will only appear after an invoice is created. Before an invoice is created, you can edit the appointment as much as you want.
From the patient billing, click the drop-down next to the appointment to open it.
Click the drop-down arrow next to Appointment Edit.
There are a few reasons why there may be an appointment edit attached to an appointment.

Insurance Change: The patient's insurance was changed

Fee Schedule Change: The fee schedule was updated in the patient's insurance

Procedures on Appointment Change: Procedures were added or removed from the appointment.
When you open the Appointment Edit you will see the following:

Procedures: This will list all procedures that were affected by the change.

Pt Resp. Prev/New: This will show the patient's previous and new balance per procedure after the change.

The total appointment edit change is highlighted at the bottom in orange.

Ins Pay Prev/New: This will show the insurance's previous and new estimate per procedure after the change.

The total appointment edit change is highlighted at the bottom in orange.

Note that the Appointment Entry has been updated to show the change of the code D9944 being removed from the appointment by the appointment edit.
Appointment $ amounts have been updated for both the patient portion and insurance estimate.
